A poem hangs on the wall at Mother Theresa's orphanage in India. For all who are called to lead, it is a great reminder of what we should do:

1. People are illogical, unreasonable and self-centered (including me). Love them anyway.

2. If you do good, people will accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives. Do good anyway.

3. If you are successful, you win false friends and true enemies. Succeed anyway.

4. The good you do today will be forgotten tomorrow. Do good anyway.

5. Honesty and frankness make you vulnerable. Be honest and frank anyway.

6. The biggest people with the biggest iedeas can be shot down by the littlest people with the littlest iedeas. Think big anyway.

7. People favor underdogs, but follow only top dogs. Fight for a few underdogs anyway.

8. What you spend years building may be destroyed overnight. Build anyway.

9. People really need help, but may attack you if you do help them. Help them anyway.

10. Give the world the best you have and you will get kicked in the teeth. Give the best you have anyway.

قصيدة معلقة على حيط ميتم الأم تيريزا في الهند
إلى كل من دعوا للتصدّر إنها تذكار رائع على ما يتوجب علينا فعله:
1- الإناس غير المنطقيين غير العقلانيين - الأنانيين(بما فيهم أنا) أحبوّهم على أية حال.
2- إذا كنت جيداً سيتهمك الناس بالأنانية ... كن جيداً على أية حال.
3- إذا كنت ناجحاً ستربح أصدقاء كاذبين وأعداء حقيقيين . كن ناجحاً على أية حال.
4- ما ستفعله خيراً اليوم سينسى غداً . افعل خيراً على أية حال.
5- الإستقامة و الشرف ستجعلك عرضة للمشاكل . كن مستقيماً وصريحاً على أية حال.
6- الأناس العظيمين ذوي الأفكار الكبيرة ممكن ان يقمعوا من قبل أناس صغيرين ذوي أفكار صغيرة . فكر بعظمة على أية حال.
7- الناس تؤيد المظلومين والمضطهدين وتتبع السلطة العليا . كافحوا من أجل بعض المضطهدين على أية حال.
8- ما تنفق عليه سنوات في البناء قد يتلاشى في ليله . ابني على أية حال.
9- الناس حقيقة بحاجة للمساعدة ، ويمكن أن يهاجموك إن لم تفعل. ساعدهم على أية حال.
10- أعطي العالم أفضل ما لديك , وستنال ضربة موجعة . قدم أفضل ما لديك على أية حال.
