there is no place like home

first let me introduce myself , my name is Abdullah Aroush , born in Zaidal in 1968 , I live in the united states of America /California since 1988 .
And i MISS HOME , there is nothing like home , like the child after birth he tastes his mother life giving milk , he smells her , hears her voice , cuddle in her arms , and instantly they form a bond that never to be broken .
that`s how we feel about the place we call home , and thats the kind of bond that keeps us together .
I lived most of my adult life here in the USA , and still the bond between us is not even close to that of my home land , our bond together is like of that between a step mother to a child , and we all know how strong that can only be , our step home now hates us just because we are Arab , and you all know why , we can never have a strong bond if we get miss trearted , and pay the price for horrible things others did .
so what is it that makes the bond between us and home so strong ?
was it the air we breathed ? we all know it was polluted with gas from the refinery .
was it the water ? what water we hardly had any , and if we did it was n`t drinkable .
was it the memories ? there was more bad memories to most of us than good , and we really want to forget it , the good memories of it can never come back , the friends we once had hardly ever remember or mention our names anymore , our families took on with life without us and got used to our absence .
so what cause that bond , that love we feel toward home to be so strong ?
what i think , its all of those reasons have part of it , and maybe more but i just can`t think of other things right now , but there is one reason above all of them combined , its if we look deep in our hearts , and i mean the immigrants , we all have some discomfort in living abroad , even though we all living happily , and enjoying the life we all once dreamed off , even though we love the countries that adopted us like its sons and gave us more than what we ever asked for, which we all grateful for , there is one thing we can`t have or feel ,we just don`t feel that we belong in here , its true , if someone says a deferent thing he is just not looking hard deep in his heart .
well at least this is how i feel , i can never feel am equal with the natives , what i really feel of myself living her that am more like a leach , annoying and don`t belong .
to belong in a society is much more than living the same way they do , or eat what they eat , or dress the way they dress , or beleave in what they beleave .
this is why we feel this about home , its where we belong , a stranger for ever will be a stranger .
finally i want to thank you all for sharing your thoughts , its really nice to share our thoughts with others from time to time , but what i hope we can do in this forum , is to discus some productive
subjects , think of our owen needs , our town needs , try to make a deference in our lives and those around us .
for example why don`t we think how to make things better in our town , discus its ever growing needs , its problems ,and how can we the immigrants here help with those needs .
there are a lot of stuff to talk about , one of them i want to discus with you is , what our farmers are going to do when there wells dry up , you know agriculture is our main source of living , what our economy is going to depend on next , or can we solve the water problem somehow.

weclome mr Abdullah Aroush again in this nice forum really i already read what did you wrote and i hope you will find a way or another in the future to write in Arabic just to let the others share you in understanding what you were writing about .
i agree with you about the reasons of why the immigrants are so bond to there homeland really there is a lots of reasons and i feel that there is a unregardable string between them and there home land .some thing grow up in there exsictance and there selves day after day which made them more missing to there mother land(homesake.
about what you ask to have some productive subjects I ask you to read the subject

which is really a productive one speak a lot about different thing dealing with how we can devlope our home land Zaidla and the way to do that. hoping form you to read it and want to konw your comment on it and if you couldn't right in Arabic i will carry on and translate your point of view to the others which can,t read English
